Why this role exists
SPARC Evolution has developed and piloted a proprietary refining platform and is now advancing into continuous demonstration and first commercial facility deployment.
We are hiring a Vice President, Commercial & Strategy to lead market development, strategic partnerships, and commercialization as SPARC progresses toward deployment and revenue generation. Working directly with the CEO, you will translate technical readiness into commercial traction, bankable partnerships, and a clear path to market adoption.
What you will do
This is a senior leadership role with broad scope to define and execute SPARC’s commercialization and partnership strategy.
- Drive SPARC’s commercialization strategy from pilot through demonstration and first deployment
- Develop and expand partnerships with offtakers, battery value-chain partners, and feedstock suppliers
- Structure and advance LOIs, MOUs, and offtake or strategic collaboration frameworks
- Leverage your network to engage institutional and strategic investors aligned with SPARC’s mission
- Advise the CEO on competitive positioning, market entry, and commercialization milestones
- Represent SPARC with investors, partners, and industry stakeholders to advance visibility and credibility
- Define and execute SPARC’s commercial roadmap leading to early revenue and scalable deployment
Who you are
Must-haves
- 10+ years of commercial leadership or strategy experience in industrial, infrastructure, or technology-driven businesses
- Proven ability to create commercial traction for early- or growth-stage platforms
- Strong executive presence and ability to operate as a trusted partner to the CEO
- Skilled at translating technical capability into market-ready offerings
- Thrives in dynamic, fast-moving, and ambiguous environments
Nice-to-haves
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, business, economics, or related field required; MBA or equivalent strategic experience preferred.
- Experience in energy transition, critical minerals, chemicals, infrastructure, or adjacent industrial sectors
- Experience supporting fundraising, investor engagement, or strategic financing
- Experience structuring partnerships, offtake frameworks, or commercial agreements
- Prior experience in a founder-led startup or platform commercialization role
